Elbows off the Derby Girl

On Aug. 13, 2011, DOA played in its first ever bout! We went to Ottumwa, IA and played against OMG!!

Sagittear It Up was one of our jammers that bout and she sustained a pretty nice bruise in the process!

I don't know about you, but this looks to me like a perfectly shaped Elbow-Pad-in-the-arm-Bruise!!

Grrrly Legs

Ninja Grrrl just doesn't like having smooth, bruise-free legs! 

That's a good one woman!!

Its hard to see this well, but this is Ninja Grrrl's shin with a hefty bruise on it!!

StalkHer Bum Rash

StikChik StalkHer hit the concrete hard and slid, leaving an instant mark during one practice. Only a few hours later it was already this colorful!

After a day or two, the reds turned black and purple!

Then at the OMG bout in Ottumwa, it was re-injured due to poor placement of stocking holes!

Angelic Bruises!

Wells Angel's knee bruise... and not a tiny one!! Ouch!! This is through knee pads people!

And on the other leg... Thigh Bruise.

And yet another thigh bruise!! All totally worth it!!

Some of the worst injuries are unseen though. DOA is missing our Wells Angel right now due to a double-twisted ankle that needs its rest!! Get better soon woman!!

TWISTED THUNDER!

During a DOA practice scrimmage, Twisted Thunder took a hard fall on the track...

...But when she didn't get back up, everyone took a knee.

This woman is so tough that she had us all fooled into thinking it was only a terrible sprain or strain. She was carried to her car on Gidge-A-Nator's back and then Twisted Thunder drove herself all the way home to Albert Lea!! (with her left foot working the pedals) When she got home, she decided that the ER was a must!!

The results... BROKEN FIBULA in three places!!! After the emmense amount of swelling went down, she headed back to the hospital and they sent her into surgery. Here are the photos to prove it!!!
